AARP New York is thrilled to sponsor this night's performance of Shakespeare's "The Tragedy of Julius Caesar."  Experience this performance in a unique venue that only NYC can provide - Central Park.

Date/Time: Tuesday, June 16th - meet at 6:30 (show starts at 7:00)

Location: Central Park (Enter at Central Park West & West 103rd Street) - Look for the big Red AARP NY Umbrellas

Run Time: 120 minutes (no intermission)

New York Classical Theatre’s signature style, Panoramic Theatre, turns public spaces into the world of the play. Instead of sitting in one place, you will move with the actors from scene to scene, following the action as it unfolds. This immersive approach creates a dynamic, interactive experience where every performance is shaped by its surroundings.

Things to know and what to expect:

The audience moves and follows the actors 5-6 times during the performance. Scenes are 100-200 meters apart, approximately 2 City blocks total.

Picnics, picnic blankets, and chairs are welcome and encouraged, but remember—you will need to clean up quickly to move to the next scene location.

Cancellations or changes due to weather (rain or extreme heat) will be announced by 6:00 pm the day of the performance - you will get an email if you have signed up for the show.

All paths are paved or across grass.  While there may be some inclines there are no stairs.

This event is FREE and Open to the Public.  Any open space on the grass for sitting will be on a first come first served basis. (Then why am I registering: so, we can send updates regarding weather, add the event to your calendar, and allow us to be prepared for the number of attendees to expect.)
