Protect yourself from frauds and scams by making sure documents that you no longer need are properly shredded and disposed of!\nJoin AARP Fraud Watch Network, AARP California, the County of Santa Clara Adult Protective Services and the Financial Abuse Specialist Team (F.A.S.T) for a FREE drive-through shred event as we work together to combat fraud and identity theft in our community.\nAt our shred event we will help you dispose of unwanted confidential documents in a FREE, safe and secure manner. It only takes a few minutes! All you have to do is (1) register in advance and (2) on June 10th arrive to the Santa Clara County Office of Social Services parking lot using the W. Julian Street entrance, stay left, pop open your trunk, and we will help you shred your documents.\nAARP and Santa Clara County’s Adult Protective Services staff and volunteers will also be onsite sharing information on World Elder Abuse Awareness Day 2023 (6/15) and how you can protect yourself and loved ones from frauds and scams. \nShredding trucks will stay onsite for the time scheduled or until they reach capacity. Registration is required in advance. This service is only for personal use, and not for businesses.\n
