Join AARP Indiana and the Little River Wetlands Project for a guided nature and sunset walk at Eagle Marsh in Fort Wayne on October 6. This relaxed, educational walk is a great opportunity to explore the wetlands, enjoy the fall leaves, and connect with fellow nature lovers of all experience levels.
Along the way, you’ll also have a chance to learn more about what AARP is doing in your local community, including advocacy, livable communities work, and opportunities to get involved. Plus, enjoy giveaways and more during the event.
What to bring (suggested gear list):
* Flashlight
* Long-sleeved shirt
* Long pants (preferably tucked into socks to help prevent ticks)
* Sturdy hiking shoes or boots
* Hat or cap
* Light jacket or fleece (for cooler evening temperatures)
* Rain gear (poncho or rain jacket, just in case)
* Insect repellent (with DEET or picaridin for tick and mosquito protection)

* Flashlight or headlamp (if the walk extends into dusk)
* Binoculars (for birdwatching and wildlife spotting)
