Preventing falls is a life-saving strategy for older adults.

An aging body means a non-injury in your 40s would be far more severe in your 70s. Preventing

falls for more older adults is not an option but a life-saving strategy. Falls are the leading cause of

death for our older community. Many can be prevented. Join Ann and Maria for a discussion

about falls and learn how to age without injury.

This workshop is designed to reduce fear of falling and increase activity levels, focusing on:

• The importance of an exercise routine

• The importance of speaking up and being assertive

• Reviewing medications, hearing, and vision issues

• Positive interaction with healthcare providers and family

• Making the home environment safer
