Join AARP and SacSewer for a FREE behind-the-scenes tour of the EchoWater Facility. Discover where your sewage goes and learn about innovative wastewater treatment. The tour is open to the public, including both AARP members and non-members.
How to Join
Please note that you need to be signed in to your AARP.org account or create an account to register for events. Membership is not required. Additionally, please do not opt out of event-related emails, as confirmation and reminder emails will be sent to you.
- Children under 12 are not permitted on our public tours.
- For security reasons, adults will be asked to show photo identification, such as a driver’s license.
- For safety reasons, closed-toed shoes are required. NO SANDALS OR HIGH HEELS WILL BE ALLOWED.
- Dress in comfortable clothing. A hat and sunglasses are recommended during the outdoor portion of the tour.
- Participants should be prepared to stand for at least 50 minutes and be able to walk 1.5 miles through tunnels, stairs, and uneven surfaces.
- To enhance your tour experience, we will be lending listening devices and headphones for the tour. Please feel free to bring your own headphones with a 3.5mm jack.
