This interactive training will provide an overview of AARP programs, tools, and resources that support veterans, active-duty service members, military families, and caregivers. Participants will learn about key resources available through AARP, current veteran-focused initiatives taking place across North Carolina, and ways volunteers can help connect veterans and their families with valuable information and services. The training will also highlight opportunities to participate in future outreach events, community partnerships, educational presentations, and veteran engagement activities. Volunteers will gain insights into effective ways to represent AARP in the community and support efforts to reach those who may benefit from AARP's veteran and military family resources. In addition to learning about available resources and volunteer opportunities, attendees will have the chance to connect with other volunteers who share a passion for serving those who have served our country. Whether you have previously volunteered at veteran-focused events or are looking to become more involved, this training will provide helpful information, practical tools, and valuable connections.
