Get Ready to Move, Groove and Glow!
Bring your family, friends, and your own movement style to a lively Walktober celebration hosted by AARP Rhode Island. The Providence Drum Troupe will set the rhythm with upbeat music, performers, giant puppets, and colorful costumes—creating a fun, festive experience for all ages and abilities.
Enjoy music, glow sticks, water, snacks, and a chance to connect with neighbors. Walk, roll, dance, or move your way—everyone is welcome! Whether you're strolling or spinning, this event is designed for all ages and abilities.
We’ll gather at South Water and Dollar Streets, then parade along the flat, accessible paths around the Michael S. Van Leesten Memorial Bridge and end at the Providence Innovation District Park outdoor amphitheater. You don’t want to miss this festive Walktober kick-off!
