Be our guest and step back in time! Join AARP Virginia friends and neighbors for a walking tour of the 6-square block historic district in the Town of Occoquan. Led by the town Mayor, Earnie Porta, we’ll cover the history of the area from pre-European contact to the coming of Hurricane Agnes in 1972. Among the topics covered will be the most significant events in the town's history, the importance of several specific structures in town, and the history of various industries and professions that have existed in town.
Meet at the Mill House Museum at 413 Mill Street, Occoquan, VA 22125. We have two 60 minutes tours; the first starts at 10:30 a.m. and the second starts at 1:00 p.m. Select your tour time when registering.
Free and open to all but space is limited.
