Join AARP Vermont and the Town of Hartford for a guided Middle Housing Walking Tour exploring how livable, walkable neighborhoods can offer more housing choices.

As we stroll through a vibrant community, you’ll see real‑world examples of “missing middle” housing—duplexes, fourplexes, and small multiplexes that fit seamlessly alongside single‑family homes. These housing types help support affordability, strengthen community connections, and bolster local businesses. Along the way, participants will observe, discuss, and document what makes these neighborhoods work—for people of all ages.
