This session focuses on understanding what you owe and what you own and how to make both work better for you. Learn practical strategies for managing debt, consolidating accounts, understanding the value of your assets, and making thoughtful decisions that support your comfort and stability in retirement.
This workshop is part of Making the Most of Your Retirement Resources, a four-part AARP financial education series designed to help one gain clarity, confidence and control over their finances before and during retirement. The series walks participants step-by-step through understanding where their money comes from, where it goes, how to manage debt and assets, how to plan for the years ahead and how Social Security fits into the bigger picture.
Each 90-minute session builds on the previous one, using plain language, real-life examples and practical tools. Participants are encouraged to take a clear, judgment-free look at their financial situation, focus on what they can control, and make thoughtful adjustments that support the life they want in retirement. The series also shares fraud prevention tips.
Each participant will leave with a guide to continue their journey.
Light refreshments will be provided so we kindly ask you to RSVP.
No products or services will be sold or promoted.
