AARP New York: Workshop NYC Voter Ed

Join AARP New York on Tuesday, October 27^th to learn about how you can help AARP this election season in our fight to protect and strengthen the Social Security payments you’ve earned and improve support for the millions of family caregivers working hard every day to help older parents, spouses and, other loved ones live independently in their homes and communities.

We will be talking about AARP’s non-partisan voter engagement campaign to empower voters ages 50 and over and elevate the issues you care about, like Social Security and supporting family caregivers. We’ll also talk about how you can join the fight by getting involved with our New York City volunteer teams to make a difference in your community.

Learn How You Can Get Involved

By joining an AARP New York City team, you can:

• Volunteer at community events and outreach activities 
• Advocate for issues affecting older adults and family caregivers 
• Help educate voters about important issues and available resources 
• Share information with neighbors and community organizations 
• Participate in local advocacy campaigns and grassroots initiatives 
• Support workshops, educational programs, and community presentations 
• Build connections with fellow volunteers who are passionate about strengthening their communities
