Join us for an informative and practical session designed to help older adults, people with disabilities, and caregivers plan ahead for emergencies. This session will discuss the importance of planning for access and functional needs, establishing a circle of support, and how to create a customized disaster checklist to meet the unique needs of yourself and/or a loved one.
You’ll Learn Tips for
- How to build a personalized evacuation plan
- What to include in an emergency “go bag”
- Communication and mobility strategies
- How to coordinate with caregivers, neighbors, and emergency responders
- Local resources and support services available in Nevada
