AARP Rhode Island Volunteer Exclusive: Smart Driver Refresher Course

Join your fellow AARP Rhode Island volunteers for a special day of learning, connection, and fun at the AARP Smart Driver Refresher Course. This free, volunteer-exclusive event is a great opportunity to refresh your driving knowledge, stay current on today's roadways, and spend time with other dedicated volunteers.

During this interactive course, you'll review valuable defensive driving techniques, learn about the latest vehicle technologies, explore current rules of the road, and gain practical strategies for adapting to age-related changes that can affect driving. The course is designed to help you drive safely and confidently while maintaining your independence behind the wheel.

Many participants may also be eligible for a multi-year auto insurance discount upon course completion. Please check with your insurance provider for details. No tests are required.

A light breakfast and lunch will be served, giving you plenty of opportunities to relax, connect with fellow volunteers, and enjoy the day together.
