Garden members work collectively to plant, harvest, and share a wide variety of fresh produce, demonstrating the power of community stewardship. Their dedication was recently recognized with the Group Lifetime Achievement Award for serving as an exemplary model of a community garden.

During this visit, you'll learn about the garden's history, explore how community gardens transform neighborhoods, and discover New York City's network of more than 550 unique community gardens. Many of these gardens began as abandoned lots and have been transformed by volunteers into thriving spaces for gardening, relaxation, community gathering, and food production.
