Most scam victims never report what happened, and that's exactly what scammers are counting on. In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn exactly how to file reports with the FTC, FBI's IC3, and the AARP Fraud Watch Network, with a step-by-step walkthrough of each process. You'll also learn what to do immediately after a scam - from freezing your credit to recovering emotionally, and discover that reporting isn't just about getting your money back. Every report helps law enforcement shut down scam networks and protect others. Walk out with a complete reporting checklist you can use right away.
This is a hands-on class so please bring your device (phone, tablet, or laptop) to practice with.
This is the second class in a three-part series. You can attend one, two, or all three classes. To sign up for additional San Diego Scam Jam events, visit aarp.org/SanDiegoScamJam.
