Empowered Caregiver Workshop: Support and Resources for Caregivers

co-sponsored by AARP St. Louis and the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Missouri

Caring for someone living with dementia can feel isolating and overwhelming, especially when behaviors change and communication gets harder. This Empowered Caregiver Workshop gives you practical, evidence-based tools to navigate those challenges with more confidence and less stress.

During this program, you'll learn how to communicate more effectively with your loved one, family, friends, and health care providers, even as dementia changes the way they express themselves. You'll also gain strategies for understanding and responding to dementia-related behaviors, recognizing them as a form of communication rather than something to fear, and learning when it's time to bring in additional support. Attendees will also explore caregiver stress and strategies to manage it- both in the moment and on an ongoing basis.

Caregivers who take this course leave with skills they can use immediately, along with the reassurance that comes from connecting with others who understand exactly what they're going through.

Don't wait to sign up. The first 50 registrants will receive a special complimentary gift.
