Play Day for Grownups

Who says play is just for kids? Join us for a one-of-a-kind Play Day designed especially for older adults at the Grand Rapids Children's Museum! Spend the day rediscovering the joy of creativity, curiosity, and connection through a variety of hands-on activities, interactive exhibits, and engaging experiences.

Enjoy being a kid at heart again in a welcoming environment where curiosity has no age limit. You'll have the chance to engage with two new museum exhibits --  LEGOs and a special Tuskegee Airmen exhibit, offering an inspiring look at the history.

You can also explore open painting and art stations, challenge yourself with games and playful activities, and enjoy live music, prizes, and refreshments.

Whether you're looking to express your creativity, reminisce through play, or simply enjoy a fun outing with friends, this event offers something for everyone.

Parking & Location

GRCM is located at 11 Sheldon Ave NE on the Rainbow Road in beautiful downtown Grand Rapids.

Planning to stop by the library, too? The GRPL Main Library has a surface lot nearby. Rates are $2.00 per half-hour, but with ticket validation you can enjoy 2 hours free on weekdays.

Paid street parking is available on a first come, first served basis. Download the MOTU app on your phone to save time when you arrive.
