Celebrate the rich traditions of Día de los Muertos through a free three-part workshop series presented by AARP Texas and the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center.
Designed for older adults, caregivers, families, Spanish-speaking community members, and anyone interested in learning more about this meaningful cultural tradition, these interactive workshops explore the history, symbolism, and customs that make Día de los Muertos such a treasured celebration. Participants will learn about the significance of sugar skulls, ofrendas (altars), papel picado, and paper flowers while creating their own keepsakes inspired by these beloved traditions.
Through hands-on activities and engaging discussions, participants will discover how families and communities honor loved ones, preserve cultural heritage, and keep traditions alive across generations. Along the way, you'll connect with others, express your creativity, and enjoy a welcoming space where people of all ages can learn together.
Join us for this free educational experience and gain a deeper appreciation for the traditions, stories, and community spirit of Día de los Muertos. RSVP below!
