AARP Trail Trekkers Veteran's Hike and Food Drive

Join AARP in St. Louis Trail Trekkers for a 2.7-mile hike through Jefferson Barracks Park. Hikers will explore the two trails in the park, along the Mississippi River.

AARP will also be accepting donations for Forces for Food Pantry, which serves active, reserve and veteran members of all military branches and their families. A donation list will be supplied in your registration confirmation.

Bring your items for collection to the Gold Star shelter before joining us on the hike. Can't make the hike? No worries...bring your items to the shelter between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM that day.

Here are more details you'll need to know to join us:

• Check in starts at 8:30 AM at the Gold Star shelter for a 9:00 AM hike start.
• Registration is required for participation.
• Information must be completed in its entirety.
• Each participant must complete their own registration process.
• Each registrant will receive a confirmation and reminder with meet-up information.
• Each registrant will be required to agree to the terms and conditions during the registration process.

Jefferson Barracks was a U.S. Army post from 1826 to 1946, and the museum buildings still standing were part of the ordnance section built in the 1850s. Jefferson Barracks Park offers museum buildings with exhibits, monuments, walking trails, an archery range, and more.
