Tour the NYS State Capitol!

Join AARP New York for a 1 hour walking tour of the New York State Capitol.

Sitting atop Albany’s State Street hill for more than a century, the activities of New York State government have taken place in this extraordinary building since the 1880s. A preeminent example of late nineteenth-century architecture, the Capitol was built by hand of solid masonry and designed to be a monument to democracy.

Please wear AARP attire and comfortable shoes! Lunch to follow.

Schedule:

• 10:30 am: Meet at the AARP NY Office 
• 11 am: Tour the Capitol
• Noon: Lunch and Advocacy Briefing
• Additional advocacy activity may follow

Parking:

• Our building has two addresses – “One Commerce Plaza” and “99 Washington Ave” – which are the same building. Free valet parking is available in our garage. 
• The garage entrance is on Washington Ave - but look for the sign that says "One Commerce Plaza Parking" 
• Please bring your ticket with you to Suite 706 for validation.
