Voter Engagement Volunteer Training

Voters 50-plus are the largest and most reliable voters in the country, making up 55% of the electorate in the 2024 general election. And older voters are even more important in midterm elections, making up 61% of voters in battleground Congressional Districts in the 2022 elections. 

That’s why, ahead of this year’s midterm elections, AARP Maine will mobilize voters 50-plus and expand grassroots engagement in key races, while working to connect candidates with the real experiences of older Americans.  

How will we do this? By hosting and/or joining community events where volunteers and staff will talk about the priorities of voters 50-plus and demonstrate AARP as a trusted, nonpartisan resource.
