Fraud reports are on the rise in 2026 and the threats are rapidly changing. Criminals have access to new technology like artificial intelligence, making their scams more powerful and harder to detect. Minnesota has also adopted important new consumer protection laws this year that will prevent losses for those who understand them.
Join AARP, the Better Business Bureau, and other local fraud-fighting organizations for lunch at The Park Event Center, where we'll discuss the latest scams.
When people are aware of the ways criminals are currently targeting their victims, they're much less likely to lose any money or even waste their time dealing with all the scams they see.
With the new information you'll learn in this program, you can take charge to protect your own money, and also be a "fraud fighter" helping your friends and family do the same.
