Walk, Roll, Connect and Make an Impact
Join AARP Rhode Island and PVD Streets Coalition for a fun, hands-on Walk/Roll Audit Workshop at Track 15 food hall. You’ll learn simple ways to look at streets, sidewalks, crossings, and public spaces through the eyes of pedestrians—and how your observations can help make communities safer, more walkable and rollable, and more connected.
The workshop includes instruction, materials, and a guided walk/roll audit of less than one mile around Track 15. Afterward, we’ll return to the food hall to share what we noticed while enjoying complimentary food and drink.
Plus, attendees will be entered into a sweepstakes for a chance to win a $250 Visa gift card. Free parking will also be available, making it even easier to join us for this engaging Walktober experience.
Please wear comfortable shoes. Safety vests and rain ponchos will be provided in case of inclement weather.
This free event is part of Walktober - a month-long initiative dedicated to enhancing walkability and rollability across Providence. To learn more about “Walktober” and all of its activities, visit: www.aarp.org/RIWalktober
