Listen up, ladies. This series is for you!
Whether you’re entering early perimenopause or in the throes of menopause, AARP Ohio is bringing together women’s health experts to lead conversations designed for women who want answers, support, and expert guidance through the transition.
In this session, Dr. Theresa Callard-Moore will lead a conversation on sexual health after menopause.
All of us got a class in 4th grade to tell us about starting our period and how to use a menstrual pad. What we need now is class to tell us about all the changes we can expect to have during menopause. Menopause can have a strong impact on our sleep, mood, body image, cognitive ability, sexual functioning, and relationships. This session will be an overview of sexual health in general (which we also didn’t get in class) and how to navigate the changes with menopause. We will focus on low libido and offer tools on how to talk about this with your partner. And if you attend, we want you to share the information with your friends! Let’s continue the conversation about menopause and normalize this as a part of your overall health and wellbeing.
