Take a break, connect with fellow caregivers, and enjoy the beauty of nature at Beech Bluff County Park, a stunning 300-acre park in southeastern Wake County. This guided walk is designed specifically for caregivers seeking time to recharge, connect, and explore the outdoors in a supportive environment. Join us for a one-hour hike along the trails of Beech Bluff County Park. Participants will step back in time and discover the rich history of the land and the generations of people who lived and worked here long before it became a county park. Along the way, we'll visit the historic Adams family barn and explore sections of the Longleaf Loop and Meadow Loop trails while learning about the area's cultural and natural heritage. Whether you're looking to get active, find community, or simply enjoy a peaceful afternoon outdoors, this walk offers a meaningful opportunity to step away from daily responsibilities and step outside with fellow caregivers. Participants will receive a complimentary gift bag filled with AARP caregiving resources and information to support their caregiving journey.
