Wen' You Wen' Grad?

Social Security & Medicare Basics for Those Thinking Ahead to Pre‑Retirement

Planning for retirement can feel complicated—especially when it comes to Social Security and Medicare. This free, in‑person AARP seminar helps break it down so you can plan ahead with confidence.

This session will help you understand:

  • Social Security: when to claim, how your age affects your benefit, working while receiving benefits, and family benefits
  • Medicare: Parts A, B, C, and D; when to enroll; typical costs; how coverage works in Hawaiʻi—including how it differs from the Prepaid Health Care Act—and the role of Medigap

This educational session is facilitated by trained AARP volunteers and provides free, unbiased information—no personal financial advice.   Light refreshments available.  AARP membership is not required.
