Explore the historical, diverse and colorful sites of the Castro neighborhood, known as the largest Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Transgender, Queer community in the world! We’ll meet at the Rainbow Flag Pole at the corner of Castro St & Market St (near public transit) and visit vibrant sites while emphasizing how San Francisco and the Castro community play crucial roles in LGBTQ+ history and culture—as well as the continuous challenge to obtain equal rights in America. The route is predominantly flat with one section that includes a slight incline.
