Fostering Connections with Nature and Community

After a busy spring and summer, our natural world is beginning the necessary transition from a season of growth and dispersal to preparations for the challenges of the coming winter.

Autumn is also a lovely time of year for us to explore and embrace new techniques to incorporate connections to our natural world for an increased sense of wellbeing!

Join Kelly Dwyer on September 10 (10-11:15 am) as we stroll along Concord’s Sewalls Falls Trail (Sewalls Falls Road), nestled adjacent to the Merrimack River. Along this beautiful and easy route, we’ll explore:

- Migration and hibernation as seasonal survival strategies: preparation, timing, and the potential hazards.

- Animal adaptations for those species who remain active and brave the cold, snowy months.

- Tree transitions: fall’s brilliance to leaf litter and the role this process plays in ecological health.

- Easy and fun techniques for daily connections with our natural world for our own wellness.
