What influence does the Moon really have on life on Earth? This virtual presentation explores familiar claims and longstanding traditions while separating fact from fiction.

On Thursday, December 17, from 2 to 3 p.m., join AARP New Hampshire and Carol Connare of the Old Farmer’s Almanac for a free online discussion of tides, planting, sleep, weather, lunar folklore and lunar science.

Participants will explore planting by the Moon, full-Moon names and the historical basis of lunar traditions. The presentation will also examine how the Old Farmer’s Almanac has covered these practices while explaining the science and stories behind them.
