November is National Family Caregivers Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the millions of family caregivers who provide support, compassion and care to loved ones every day. In honor of the month, AARP invites you to a free Movies for Grown Ups screening of 'The Upside,' an uplifting comedy-drama inspired by a true story.
The film follows the unexpected friendship between Phillip, a wealthy man living with quadriplegia, and Dell, an unemployed caregiver who brings a fresh perspective and renewed purpose to Phillip's life. As their relationship grows, both men discover the value of friendship, resilience and looking beyond first impressions.
Through humor and heart, The Upside highlights the importance of caregiving relationships and the impact that support, connection and companionship can have on our lives. Join AARP for an afternoon at the movies and take part in National Family Caregivers Month by enjoying a film on us.
This FREE event is part of AARP's Movies for Grown Ups program, which celebrates movies that resonate with adults and explore meaningful life experiences.
Registration is required and does NOT guarantee admission. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. We look forward to seeing you at the movies.
